Clearing data/storage and cache

With the release of Reconnect Community 7.0, clients may need to clear data/storage and cache

Clearing the data/storage AND cache for specific apps can help resolve performance issues, free up storage, and fix problems like crashes or slow loading times without affecting your app data. Here's how to do it:

  • 1. Open the Settings app on your Android-powered device

  • 2. Navigate to “Apps” or “Applications” (depending on your Android make & model, and version)

  • 3. Select the app you want to clear the cache for.

  • 4. Tap Storage or Storage & Cache

  • 5. Tap Clear Data, Clear Cache, or Manage Storage.

  • 6. Confirm by tapping OK or Clear All Data when the pop-up appears.

This will reset the app to its original state, deleting all settings, accounts, and locally stored data. It’ll be like you just downloaded it for the first time.

iOS

This should not impact users of iOS devices.
